Union Solidarity Benefits Community

In a response to recent layoffs in the Wichita community, United Teachers of Wichita (UTW) Representatives collected food donations to be distributed by Mario’s Food Pantry (An extension of the United Way of the Plains). UTW President Kimberly Howard dropped off the donated non-perishable food items for Mario’s Food Pantry on Tuesday.
“Many of our students and their families have been affected by the recent layoff,” explained Kimberly. “This is one way we can help, and we hope to do more in the future.”
