Saturday, August 18, 2018, members of Local Lodge 774 Textron Aviation voted on whether or not to approve opening seniority discussions. The polls were open from 6am – 8pm, and the local seen a record number of members show up to voice their opinion about whether or not they want to spend the money to have negotiators look into trying to build a proposal that would help create a more collective solution to the language set up during the merger of Cessna and Beechcraft in 2014. The language divides members into three categories under the current language causing a lot of conflict. At the end of the day members approved opening discussions on seniority.
