District 19 has a tentative agreement on the SOO Line worth taking to the membership for a ratification vote. General Chair John Denny will be visiting the properties for the entire week from Jan. 16 to 20 to answer any questions you may have. We know this has been a long process and we appreciate all the help and suggestions we have received.
We have to say that as hard as the going has been at times, we are proud to bring this for a vote to our members. With help from local chairmen around the system, we are already planning for the future. We will be taking a hard look at how we can achieve paid sick leave and other items members want.
This agreement will bring the largest wage increases ever for this railroad with an added personal day and no strings attached. We will be holding this ratification vote electronically. For those included, please watch your mail for the instructions on how to vote and the tentative agreement will be included for your use. We look forward to seeing you all soon.
