July 4th is a time to celebrate our independence and freedoms we continue to enjoy. It is also a time to reflect on what it means to be an American.
Machinists Union members build this country every day and our transportation membership has kept the world moving forward for more than 133 years. Our hard work and sweat has won working Americans health care, a safe work environment and vacation time spent with our families and friends. The IAM will continue to fight for those who do not have a voice in the workplace.
I would be remiss if I didn’t thank our brave soldiers who have sacrificed and continue to fight every day to afford us the rights and liberties we enjoy. As we celebrate Independence Day, please take a moment to remember and thank them.
