IAM Recommends Members Reject the Tentative Labor Deal with GE

General Electric Co. (GE) has reached a tentative four-year agreement with about 6,600 workers represented by 11 different unions in various GE industrial divisions, that will have to be ratified by the membership of all eleven represented unions.

“Our recommendation is to reject,” Brian Bryant, General Vice President of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) told Reuters. “It’s what we consider a concessionary contract.”
