We would like to invite all members to attend our monthly Local Lodge Meeting. It is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at: Machinists Building, 3830 South Meridian, Wichita, Kansas Executive Board meets at 6:30PM - Regular Meeting begins at 7:00PM

Linn Debbie Boatwright	News   Garnett/Jobbers Accepts New 3 Year Contract   On July 29, 2006, members of Local Lodge 708 working for Garnett Auto Supply and Jobbers Automotinve Warehouse accepted a new three year contract. Highlight of the contract included a 3 percent wage increase in each year of the contract and pension increases to 54 dollars and change. Employees were able to maintain their current health insurance premiums as well. Said President Ron Landrum, " I think most everyone was pleased with this contract offer. Our committee worked hard and it paid off. I am proud of the negotiators, and the membership for supporting us." Sherwin/Williams Hiring New Employees Know someone needing a job? Organizing Committee Members	The Organizing Committee is working hard to sign up new members at all locations under the Local Lodge 708 banner. Come to the local lodge meetings and get involved.
Political Action	All members of District 70 that are not registered to vote need to do so for the upcoming elections. If you are already registered help a friend register. You can register to vote at the District 70 Machinists Building.
